About us
The Academy Choir and the Academy Orchestra of the Christian Music and Arts Academy Stuttgart were founded in autumn of the year 2001 as interdenominational ensembles. Our primary focus is the performance of classical, spiritual works of composers of all epochs. We have also started to enrichen our programm with purely instrumental compositions.
Next to works like the Messiah by Händel, the Magnificat by J.S.Bach and the 42. Psalm As the deer panteth for the water by Mendelssohn , our repertoire includes the symphony no. 5 in D-major, op.107 (reformationsymphony) by Felix Mendelssohn Bartoldy. choir and orchestra have performed in various locations in Stuttgart and the surrounding area,
in Winterthur, Switzerland, and went to Israel twice for concert tours in 2004 and 2006.
Both ensembles were led by co- founder and conductor Monica Meira Vasques until the end of the year of 2006 and since then have been under the musical leadership of Frank Christian Aranowski under the new name
Christlicher Philharmonischer Kammerchor Stuttgart.
The members of the choir, the orchestra and the soloists do not only want to delight the audience with the performance of spiritual works, they also wish to proclaim, above all, the message, which is the centre of each composition.
One of the main goals of our academy is to build bridges between the different churches and denominations through our work.
The vision
- People who get in touch with God by attending our concerts.
- Musicians who perform led by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
- Christians who as Musicians are being spiritually equipped.
- God who wants to revive the Classical Heritage.
We see ...
The goals
- isee their musical talents as a spiritual calling and therefore want to use it accordingly.
- want to spread the good news of the Gospel across denominational borders by their music
- believe that the Word of God, that is being sung and played, has the power to change people's lives.
We want to adress musicians who ...
The implementation
- as a committed player or singer who wants to practice and perform demanding pieces of music with us.
- to experience God's wonderful work in concert projects both in our country and abroad.
- to have times of fellowship, spiritual refreshment and encouragement.
We are inviting you ...
And we are completely particularly pleased about the successful
concert journey to Israel in March 2004 (The Messiah, Handel)
and September 2006 (Elias, Mendelsohn Bartholdy).
Through the centuries The Messiah has deeply impacted and influenced the lives of its listeners.
An author once wrote, that the music and the message of the Messiah ....has probably contributed more to convince people of the existence of God, than all theological dissertations ever written put together.
